The Cotswolds - Our Cottage in the beautiful village of Coln St Aldwyns

My friend Marta flew over from Delaware to spend a week with me in the Cotswolds. We had a wonderful cottage in the beautiful village Coln St. Aldwyns.

Here's the cottage

The Lodge, our cottage, was just off the main road on a lane.

The front entry hall
The first Lounge (living room to us Americans) just to the left of the entry hall
We had a fire most nights. I'm getting better at making a fire.
There were two sections of kitchen. Here was the sink, cabinets and a wonderful Esse stove (an AGA alternative). It wasn't on though.
The dining table was in this kitchen section.
And then the electric hob and cooker (stovetop and oven) were in this section as well an another under counter refrigerator and a separate freezer.

There was also a full bath opposite and the hallway lead to the second lounge.
The second lounge had a pull out couch (not foldout) and double doors to the patio area -- unfortunately it was too cold to make use of the patio.

The stairs to the first floor (second floor to us Americans).
Upstairs had two bedrooms and a full bath.
The front door

The back door, with a cute hook for a visiting doggie's leash and a sweet note on the chalkboard from a recent visiting honeymoon couple.

Some historical photos and art hanging on the walls
This was a wonderful leather brush set hanging on the coat hooks by the front door. We used it to clean our shoes after a long walk on Public Footpaths.
This collage shows the condition of the cottage before the renovation
